Exhibition of works by Tsuguharu Fujita AKA Léonard Tsugouharu Foujita (1886-1968), the Tokyo-born painter and darling of the Ecole de Paris who found fame for his unique style which combined both Japanese and Western aesthetics and technique. This exhibition focusses on work dating from his period in France starting in 1913 and travels to Latin America in 1931, on loan from collections in both France and Japan. Also on display will be works by Fujita’s contemporaries, including Jules Pascin, Moïse Kisling and Marie Laurencin.
