“The Realm in Monochrome”
The Museum of Modern Art, Wakayama
This event has ended.
Aristotle once said that all colors are born between black and white, and while this is not scientifically correct yet in the way that color exists between dark and light perhaps he was not wrong. The age in which we have been able to capture the world easily in full color is only a recent development and in spite of this expression in black and white has not disappeared, as there is something which can be distilled in these monotones which can not be discerned in the world of color. This exhibition celebrates the world of black and white through a selection of prints and photographs.
