David Schalliol “Isolated Building Studies”
Tanto Tempo
This event has ended.
David Schalliol is a graduate student of sociology at the prestigious University of Chicago. His research on isolated buildings on the edges of American cities examines the processes of prosperity and decline for these buildings and cities. His work explores questions such as “How does an isolated building come into being?” “What kinds of people live in these buildings,” and “What kind of urban environments surround them?” Relying heavily on photography and footwork, Schalliol’s research has a compelling beauty. This exhibition introduces a selection of his most important photographs.
