Osaka Museum of History
This event has ended.
Tsukioka Settei (1726–1786), an ukiyo-e artist who drew many gorgeous, elegant pictures of beautiful ladies, gained great acclaim among the people of Osaka in the middle Edo period. This exhibition shows the ukiyo-e pictures by Tsukioka Settei and his pupils, which are fascinating in a different way from the works of Utamaro and Hokusai, the renowned Edo-based ukiyo-e artists.
