Reflecting on the age of Showa, with its shifting light and shadow as it moved through war time to rapid economic development, as reflected in the work of Tadanori Yokoo, whose practice has come to represent an era. This exhibition overcomes the axis of time and media to present Yokoo’s eclectic approach to creative production as seen in his variety of painting and graphic work, assimilated in his singular vision which calls us to question what direction our current era should take from here.
