This event has ended.

With an interest in the relationships of people and nature, Hiroshi Suga set out to spend a year and half in Nepal more than 40 years ago. These 60 photographs reveal Suga’s observations of the lives of Asia’s ordinary people, who he has continued to treat as the main subjects of his works for the past several decades. Capturing their bravery and respect for nature in the face of harsh day-to-day lives, he was moved by the lack of sorrow in their expressions, the lessons of labor learned by children and adults alike, and the profound connections to the earth demonstrated in the moments of their daily activities.
