The Aichi Prefecture artist Issei Nishimura (b. 1978) produces daily monologue-like self-portraits capturing fragments of himself. His fantastical images express other worlds deep within himself in infinite reflections of eyes within eyes. Confronting human life, nature, joy, and sorrow, his works are both sharp and deep, fiery and dark. Forty new paintings revealing the expressive essence of this natural artist who never misses an opportunity to create are on display.
