Known as “the God of manga”, Osamu Tezuka (1928–1989) produced approximately 150,000 pages of manuscripts and 70 animations during his lifetime, including the masterpiece, “Tetsuwan Atomu” (Atom Boy), Japan’s first full-scale TV animation series. More than 20 years after his death, his stories and characters continue to captivate audiences around the world. This exhibition introduces around 170 of Tetsuka’s beloved works, including handwritten manuscripts for major works, original illustrations, films, and other related documents. The show also highlights the artist’s message for the future and offers a look at a reproduction of his studio.
