Kichizaemon X— Shinbei’s Raku Ware and Kichizaemon’s Hagi Ware

Fifteenth-generation Hagi ware ceramicist Shinbei Sakakura and 15th generation Raku ware ceramicist Kichizaemon Raku try their hands at each other’s crafts in the sixth Kichizaemon X exhibition. Sakakura and Raku, who have been friends since studying sculpture together in their youth, continue to pass down the traditional arts of their families. Done in a spirit of adventure and excitement, this new collaboration reflects their close relationship.
