The Miho Merciful Mother Kannon and the Lotus Miroku: Two Tapestries

Presenting for the first time together two masterpieces of hand-woven tsuzure ori tapestry considered pinnacles of contemporary weaving, “The Miho Merciful Mother Kannon” and “The Lotus Miroku”. In addition to other famous works of Buddhist art from Japan and abroad such as “Yoryu Kannon” (Kannon Holding a Willow Branch) and meditating seated Buddhist statues, visitors can learn how the two main works came into being.
