Stephanie Comilang “The Act of Flirting”

The KAC artist in residence program offers support to young artists and researchers in an encounter of cultural exchange with gives rise to new artistic expressions. Canada based Stephanie Comilang took up the residency between January-march 2014 in which she investigated the phenomenon of flirting. Based on her research she has formulated a moving image work which examines the distance between one person and another and the process of building human relationships in her own unique take upon Japan and its people.
