This event has ended.

With the unveiling of his “Ceramic Forest” series in 1994 Yasuyoshi Sugiura has perfected over the years a true fusion of nature with the medium of ceramics. Well known for his open air installations featured in such renowned international events as the Echigo Tsumari Triennale 2006 and the Setouchi Triennale 2013, he also has the ability to create highly detailed sculptures such as the “Natural History of Ceramics” series for interior spaces, asserting to the audience the fragility of nature and our simultaneous longing and fear of it. This exhibition showcases 27 works from the “Natural History of Ceramics” series along with the installations of the “Ceramic Forest” and “Ceramic Rock”.
