From folklore subjects to special effects on our TV screens, otherworldly creatures such as Yokai appear all around us. Sometimes offering the appeal of imaginary worlds and sometimes taking frightful forms, throughout the centuries they have beckoned us into mysterious realms. This two-part exhibition presents unusual creatures conjured up by art brut and contemporary artists.
