Four hundred years ago this summer, Osaka Castle fell to the attack of the Tokugawa shogunate that obliterated the Toyotomi clan. Up until the final decisive battle, the relationship between these two armies was complex throughout the life of daimyo Hideyoshi Toyotomi. This exhibition surveys this history and explores the significance of the Siege of Osaka with a wide range of documents and materials.
