The definition of ‘thumbhole’ is an opening in which to insert the thumb. The word ‘thumbhole’ is also used for a painting with measurements of 22.7cm × 15.8cm. This exhibition presents 114 prize-winning pieces from the Thumbhole biennial exhibition, a nationwide open call show which started as Okanoyama Museum of Art Nishiwaki’s 10th Anniversary event.
