The Bologna Children’s Book Fair is an important international event dedicated to the children’s publishing and multimedia industry. Taking place every year in the ancient city of Bologna in the northern Emilia-Romagna Region of Italy, this year saw 76 illustrators from 24 countries, including 10 artists from Japan. Presented in this special exhibition is the work of Portuguese illustrator, animator and graphic designer, and winner of the 2014 International Award for Illustration at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Catarina Sobral. Illustrations from her award-winning book “La Sirena y los Gigantes enamorados” are displayed in addition to numerous pieces from her other published books.
