This event has ended.

Kyoto is the cradle of Japan’s dyeing and weaving industry. During the Senshoku Matsuri (Textile Festival) in the springs of 1933–1938, there were parades of women’s clothing from ancient Japanese history through the late Edo era. This exhibition presents kimonos from throughout Japanese history, restored using the most advanced techniques from the early Showa era.
