After the Meiji Restoration in 1868, development of Japanese arts and crafts was centred primarily in Tokyo and received high praise on both a national and global level. On this occasion however, Osaka Museum of History presents its collection of “forgotten” arts and crafts created by artisans from Osaka, shown here for the first time.
