While changing names and organizations, the Nitten art exhibition sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Sports, Science, and Technology has continued for more than a century. Today it is Japan’s most historic and traditional public art exhibition. Divided into the five categories of Japanese-style painting, Western-style painting, sculpture, crafts and calligraphy, this exhibition introduces over 600 works by selected artists from across Osaka, Hyogo, Nara and Wakayama.
