Christine Flint Sato bought a tea field in Minami Yama Shiro Mura 23 years ago. Slowly they cleared the land and built a small workshop and studio and in 2010 completed a cabin. Their son, Robin, lives there now. Christine Flint Sato considers the land her ‘lungs.’ She has been able to breathe the clean country air and heal her spirit. The artwork for this exhibition was made at this cabin and reflects the light and freedom she feels there.
