World Heritages of Osaka: Bunraku and Korean Envoys to Japan

Many of Osaka’s cultural properties have international appeal and bear historical importance. Among them, Bunraku puppet theatre was recognized by UNESCO as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2009, while Korean envoys are currently being considered for inscription on UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register. This exhibition showcases artifacts associated with these two cultural heritages from the collection of Osaka Museum of History.
