The Kampo Museum's holds 20,000 Chinese calligraphic works from the Qing Dynasty. Resources on more ancient forms of scripture in China, such as oracle bone scripts, ornamental tiles, etc are also available for viewing. Torahs, hieroglyphs, early Japanese text books, African and Oceanian masks, and wooden sculptures are also on display. The permanent collection exhibit displays the history of Chinese characters and their development from oracle bone scripts.

From 9:30 to 17:00
Closed on Mondays
Note:Open on a public holiday Monday but closed the following day. Closed during the New Year holidays and in between exhibitions.

10 minute walk from Gokasho Station on the Ohmi Tetsudo line; from JR Notogawa Station, take the Ohmi Tetsudo bus towards Yokaichi terminal and get off at Kondo Tatsutaguchi stop. The venue is a 10 minute walk from there.
