The All Kansai Arts Exhibition was founded in 1941 and featured juried works from the public. The exhibition was formerly called the "Osaka City Exhibition" and featured Japanese painting, oil painting, sculpture and crafts. In 1949, calligraphy was added as a new category and thus the exhibition was renamed the "Kansai Total Arts Exhibition". The name "All Kansai Arts Exhibition" came about in 1972. Since then, the annual show has covered five art categories and has featured works by famous artists that represent the Kansai region.

Note:If Monday is a National Holiday, the museum is open on Monday but closed the following Tuesday. Closed for the year-end holiday. May be closed due to installation schedules (contact the museum for more information).

10 minute walk from Tennoji station on the JR, Subway Tanimachi and Midosuji lines. 10 minute walk from Abenobashi station on the Kintetsu line. 10 minute walk from Abenobashi stop on the Osaka Municipal bus.
