Cartoonist Riyoko Ikeda's series "The Rose of Versailles" appeared on weekly magazine Margaret from 1972 to 1973. Immediately after its start, the series became so popular that it was regarded as a social phenomenon.
It is the first time that more than 300 original illustrations are exhibited at once. In addition, this exhibition features reproduced dress and costumes, film and specially made dolls.
