poster for Motoki Tanaka "A Sequence and Accumulation of Moments"

This event has ended.

"I work with a stamp with '0' to form a peculiar space by repeating and accumulating. I use it to represent an ordinary moment and keep a pile of them on the canvas. Each moment is alike but not identical. This could be the reason why I still continue stamping in order to look for a new encounter. The accumulation of the individual generates a special and beautiful power. The same thing happens during a course of dispersion and disappearance. The most important matter is to create a transition in time. An infinite space appears in a chain of collection and dispersion."
