This event has ended.

The period between the late 19th and early 20th century was an epoch-making era in art history. Artists created works for the purpose of self-expression, and new techniques in expression were invented.
The emergence of French Impressionism was the preface in this movement, but the successive movements exceeded their expectations. Development of information and transportation brought a revolution all over the world, and expanded the purpose and meaning of painting to a different level.
This exhibition features the perspectives of establishment and development of modern paintings such as Impressionism in the 19th century, Surrealism in the 20 century, Cubism, Fauvism, and Abstract Expressionism. In addition, prints by well-known sculptors from those days are exhibited.
