Kiyoshi Okuda "SCHNORCHEL"

Contemporary Art Space Osaka

poster for Kiyoshi Okuda "SCHNORCHEL"

This event has ended.

"Since 1988, I have focused on the theme 'Providence in Nature.'
What does it mean to be in a natural state? What defines a natural creation? Can people live in nature? I hope to answer such questions through my paintings.
I try to express what I feel with my five senses when I see mountains and lakes, wind and rain, sound and light. By attempting to do what I want to do, at times I feel nervous, yet I cannot stop myself from creating art.
Now, what interests me most is the sea. The 'schunorchel' becomes a useful tool when exploring the sea.
This exhibition will have drawings and paintings created under the theme of 'schunorchel.'"
