This event has ended.

Sekka Kamisaka (1866-1942) is a well-known master of the Rimpa school of decorative painting and is called "the return of Korin". He lived in Kyoto between the Meiji to early Showa period and established his unique style. Not only did he limit himself as a painter, but also designed ornaments through dying and weaving, ceramics, and lacquer ware. This exhibition features his painting of plants, animal and humans from a unique perspective. "Momogusa," the most representative painting of his works, will also be on display.
