This event has ended.

Kosho Shimizu, the former head of Todaiji, has created many works during his life. The "clay buddha" is a word that Kosho invented, when he was inspired by children creating clay dolls in 1963 when Kosho became the head master of Todaiji Kindergarten.
The exhibition features clay buddhas that have been made through the Shigaraki, Bizen and other traditions.
