By focusing on depictions of various scenes from both nearby Kyoto and distant foreign lands, we will experience the transformative visions of artists who captured the essences of "locations" and revealed them as "places" in their art. We will also experience vicariously the attractions that drew artists such as Koichi Okumura, Chikkyo Ono and Yanosuke Kawabata to these places.
