This event has ended.

Matthew Fasone, born and raised in New York, currently resides and makes art in Osaka. "Excavation" is his first exhibition in Japan that reveals his long-kept concept.
Places that express "movement" are strong and expressive, regardless of the surrounding parts that show "silence." "Movement" cannot be silenced, and become fossilized, then excavated. Movement does not stop and it is documented in real time. Movement and silence, which are polar opposites, however, create harmony together. Fasone's work looks at the contradictory relationship between movement and silence, and its reflection of nature's laws.
