Heihachiro Fukuda was born in Oita city, came to Kyoto to become a painter, and studied at Kyoto City University of the Arts. After graduating, he remained in Kyoto to pursue an art career. The retrospective celebrates Fukuda's achievements, and will feature paintings that have maintained a distinctive style throughout his career.
