This event has ended.

The exhibition, entitled "Chaotic Order" which marks his second solo show in Japan, comprises new series of works that stemmed as a result of his 2-month residency program at Tokyo Wonder Site Aoyama, organized by Tokyo Wonder Site in conjunction with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico.
It depicts several aspects of the Japanese culture both on/off street levels filtered by Sodi's inspirations during his residency in Aoyama. These are particularly apparent in his application of Ash (“Ohai”, used in Japanese tea ceremonies) and some typical Japanese pigments for his new three-dimensional works.
While Sodi's seemingly primitive but highly scientific rhetoric for the culture reminds us of the continuity of time and space, his works, by simply “being” there, appear capable of giving emptiness a shape by which it can be manipulated, like the idea of zero.
