Hiroko Takahama "P.O. Box 1284"
Itohen Books Gallery Coffee
This event has ended.
Hiroko Takahama is known for her works that playfully use color and form, and that are created through collaboration; For the "Traveling Stamps" series (collaboration with Shigeto Miki, Zenmai Company/1999-) she created postcards using old stamps as a repeated motif. Takahama began her artist career in her early 20s, and has released paintings inspired from her travels to southern islands and small towns. Her recent works ("Zakuro"/2005-2006, "Blue City"/2006), have a strong power to attract viewers despite its rather reserved style. At "P.O. Box 1284," viewers encounter the more nostalgic range of Takahama's work.
