"The New Tale of the Heike drawn by Kenkichi Sugimoto" Exhibition

Kenkichi Sugimoto, based in Nagoya, passed away on February 10th, 2004 at the age of 98. Sugimoto has visited China and Korea, and is known for his speedy yet accurate sketches of things and landscapes he liked. From 1950 to 1957, he illustrated for Eiji Yoshikawa's "The New Tale of Heike". In this exhibition, there will be 120 original works on display.
