"Pictures of the Genji: Aesthetics of the Momoyama Period" Exhibition

Mitsuyoshi Tosa's "Genji Monogatari Tekagami (Album of Genji Story)" captured each scene from the Tale of the Genji, and the extravagance of the Momoyama period. This exhibition features 50 paintings out of 80 that are arranged in chronological order. In addition, Ukiyo-e prints that feature the narrative's motifs and a traditional-style calendar will be on display.
