Manabu Masuda's "wire drawings" render the mysterious female form using one strand of wire, which is fitted into a quadrangle frame. Although it is technically a "line" drawing, there is also a three dimensional effect created through its shadow that moves with the viewer's perspective. Masuda's figures possess a certain livelihood and eroticism that are magically rendered through only one piece of wire. The exhibition will have approximately 20 works in display, featuring one large-scale wire drawing of 1800mmx450mm and other works that are part of a series. Masuda will also create small scale pieces during the exhibition period.
