Tomu Osaki "Omoma Subway"
Adanda
This event has ended.
For Tomu Osaki, the subway makes him uncomfortable. Elements such as equally arranged dots on the route map, fluorescent lighting, and the sound of wheels running in the dark suffocate him. He calls his response to these elements, "Omoma"; it is a word often used by infants that is combined of easy sounding syllables, yet means nothing.
The exhibition features works that Osaki creates during the New Year's holidays, and that express the "Omoma" that appears through his experiences at subways and subway stations.
