"The World of Junichi Nakahara" Exhibition
Asago Art Village
This event has ended.
Before and after WWII, Junichi Nakahara created beautiful illustrations that captured the hearts of Japanese females in their teens and twenties. He started his illustration career while working as a clothing designer and created dolls on the side. They became popular and eventually became an illustrator for the girls' magazine "Shojo no Tomo (Girl's Friend)". After WWII, he founded the magazines "Soleil" and "Himawari," and introduced modern fashion and utilitarian interior design to young women. In this exhibition, 110 works will be on display that represent Nakahara's works that were completed at various stages in his life.
