"Manga from the Showa Period" Exhibition
Kyoto International Manga Museum
This event has ended.
After WWII, Japanese manga changed drastically and began with a new start. Events such as Osamu Tezuka starting his career and the revival and birth of magazines that had stopped during the war brought much energy to the manga culture. Manga has inspired many through stories that touched the hearts of young boys and girls, narrative-based manga, and others. Through various visual references, the exhibition takes visitors through the importance of manga during the Showa period.
