Kim Seong-Hwan "Sketching the War"

Kyoto International Manga Museum

This event has ended.

This exhibition features unpublished sketches about the Korean War by Kim Seong-Hwan, one of the greatest Korean newspaper cartoonists. Although Korean culture is currently a trend in Japan, the sketches surface the shocking history of the country. Kobau-Ojisan, the Korean national hero who has been depicted in newspapers for 45 years during the military regime, was created based on these sketches.
