Rodin "The Secret of his Creations, a New World of White and Black"

Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art

This event has ended.

The exhibition will have 190 works by Auguste Rodin (1849-1917), selected from the Musee Rodin in Paris. The original plaster molds that Rodin used in making his bronze and marble sculptures will be present. The molds have a matte finish, and Rodin is known for actively displaying plaster pieces in exhibitions. Rodin's plaster works have been a key to uncovering his mysteries, yet because of their fragile nature, they have rarely been exposed to the public.
