Tsuiko Kimura (1907-94) was born in Himeji city and started her career as artist after the war. In her early years, she produced realistic works made from leather and looked for inspirations in everyday life. During her later years, she used the ocean, waves and shells as motifs, which appear in her abstract designs and dynamic works. This exhibition features 13 works that have been donated to Himeji city.
