Buson + Goshun Exhibition

Itsuo Art Museum

This event has ended.

Ichizo Kobayashi gave special attention to Buson and Goshun. Thus, the museum's Buson and Goshun collection has the most extensive number of works in the world, including Goshun's works that were produced while he was in Ikeda for 8 years. Goshun studied poetry and painting under his master, Buson. After Buson's death, Goshun moved to Kyoto and produced the poetically sentimental "Shijyo-ha (school)" with a touch of Oukyo Maruyama-style poetry. This exhibition features selected works by Buson and Goshun from the permanent collections.

Lecture: February 9th (Sat), 14:00-
