Since early history, Osaka became a gateway to other continents. Osaka's water transportation system and port developed rapidly, and as a result, various foreign goods and cultural items were imported. With such activity taking place, Osaka was constantly filled with a vibrant cultural scene .
This exhibition features items that were brought to Osaka from Asia and Europe, and takes a look at the role of Osaka as a port city in Japanese history.
