The theme of Numao's paintings is the radiance of existence, communicating the beauty of wild flowers quietly living in the limitless bounds of space. The small flowers of the fields throughout the four seasons keep blooming with all their might in order to warm the hearts of those who see them. In spring, from seeds carried away by the wind, shoots sprout up and the flowers bloom one by one. The artist quietly observes this process, painting flowers placed in a basket and pot. 25 of her new depictions of field flowers will be on display.
