Having brought numerous commercials to the world as a director of TV commercials, Shinya Nakajima has constantly commanded the focus of attention in the advertising industry. In 1987 he was among the first to introduce digital technology into commercials, offering graphic designers and art directors the opportunity to enter the TV commercial industry. Ever since, he has been the foremost figure of the new digital video age. Marking the 20th anniversary of the birth of digital video, this exhibition introduces the world of Shinya Nakajima’s TV commercials, on which he has collaborated with 29 front-rank art directors.

端々にちりばめられた愛嬌と裏腹に渋さも光るDMのままの会場という感じもしたが、知らない人にとっては「これがCMの世界なのか」と感嘆されるんだろうなぁ。と。
むしろ、中島氏の“読める”コンテが面白い。
映像というと、実際に映し出されるものだけでしか捉えようのない、伝えにくい印象もあるかもしれないが、氏のコンテには理解を超えた知覚という印象でもって、現場を動かす力があるんだなあという印象を受けた。
何気なく行くだけでも、割とTVっ子なら知っている代物がたくさんあるので、アメ村を外れたデートスポットにも良いかもしれません。
