Doll houses create a world that is 1/12th the size of what exists in the real world. Since 17th century Europe, miniatures have attracted a steady following with many specialized artisans and collectors.
For this exhibition, the Maplestreet Dolls House & Miniature Museum located in Cambridge, England, presents approximately 60 works that will be on display in Japan for the first time. This exhibition features works from specific time periods, such as the Tudor, Georgian, Victorian, and Edwardian periods, and viewers can experience the time and space through the world of miniatures.
