"Seeking and Collecting Masterpieces at Kahitsukan" Exhibition

At age 21, the director of Kahitsukan Yoshitomo Kajikawa was exposed to Kagaku Murayama's work. Since then, Kajikawa has dedicated his lifework towards art, and in 1981, he established the museum encapsulated by his own architecture. Through his 45 year career, Kajikawa has collected many works which all contain different stories behind each acquisition. He has compiled these small narratives into a book, "Kahitsu Shui." Coinciding with the release of the book, the exhibition will feature the highlighted art works along with small excerpts.
