"Making Offerings For the Gods: Ceremonial Ceramics From Joseon Dynasty" Exhibition
The Museum of Oriental Ceramics, Osaka
This event has ended.
During the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), people from the royal family to the working peasants observed Confucianism as a way of life. As a result, rituals were centered upon offering food to the gods served on ceramic bowls and plates. These ceramic pieces were specifically made for ritualistic purposes. Focusing on the unique form of Joseon ceramics, approximately 20 pieces will be on display.
